Creating a product from start to finish is something  I've always found enjoyable. I love prepping for a shoot, improvising on the day, piecing it together in post, and creating graphics to tie it all together. 

When Joseph Hinds approached me at the beginning of 2015 to create a video for his entry into the L'Oreal Paris The Brush Makeup Contest, I immediately said yes. The idea of playing with creative ways to showcase makeup and makeup techniques was something I thought could be a lot of fun. I shot this using a Canon 60D, a 17-55mm f2.8 Canon and 105mm macro f2.8 Sigma lenses, and used a variety of techniques such as lens whacking in order to get some of the more artistic shots in the piece.
